So, dad tells me that back in the day he was a paperboy for the
masses. He said he was a stellar employee of the Tribune
and of course made "Paperboy of the Year". Later after
making a small fortune and learning to drive, he got a motor
route out in the country where hundreds of copies of the news
fit to print were disseminated. Dad said that sometimes
his peeps would ride along, and they'd play newspaper delivery
games, like rural paper tube box delivery at excessive speeds
while listening to Deep Purple "Machine Head". Good times.
I thought for a while they were going to turn news carriers into
mind-numb robots, but instead they've decided to use the Post
Office (until they turn those folks into robots of course).
